Ticking noise under dash - 2007 Tahoe

My 2007 Tahoe makes a faint ticking noise under the dash by the steering wheel. It sounds kind of like a house's light switch turning off and on quickly but the sound is a little sharper. I can't associate it with any event yet. Any clues?

I have this problem as well with an 02 and it doesn't make the noise when the brake is applied
