Got a pretty good deal on some Timbren bump stops from someone who never installed them.

Installed on a 2003 Tahoe Z71.

Had bump stop contact with LCA on driver side only prior to swap. Timbren are significantly taller.

Size comparison (front).

Need to take it for a ride and have them settle in.

Have not replaced the rear ones yet.

Is this a regular suspension Z71 other than the bump stops you installed? And how was the ride after installing the Rears? And I imagine that if you had the trailer or anything or haul anything the ride was much better is this correct?

Rear upper and lower control arms, and pan-hard bar were replaced with adjustable tubular units when the original bushings gave out. Airlift bladders installed inside the springs.

The rear Timbrens have not been installed yet … on the list to be completed prior to the next road trip (along with new Z71 springs, air bladders, and shocks)… too many other projects that are more urgent pop up; moving these down on the priority list. Needs to be completed in the next several weeks though.

Under normal conditions, there will still be a gap. Under trailer load, I imagine they will contact the axel and firm up the ride.

Based upon how the front are working, the ride will be stiffer but still comfortable.
