Alright thanks y’all, I’ll do it soon. One other question I had is if I can reuse a new oil pan gasket. I had the pan gasket done (by a shop) last October and didn’t think at the time to tell them to replace this o-ring. So can I reuse that gasket or get a new one?
For the price of a new gasket, I’d replace it.

I'm now pretty sure I have the dreaded o-ring issue. Low (25-30) when cold and slowly goes up to 40-45 as engine heats up. Just replaced the sensor after seeing it peg at 80. What are the chances I have the o-ring issue?

The mechanic looked at it for $500 and filled the oil a bit and changed the connector on the sensor. The starting cold psi is now 32 instead of 25 but doesn't really go up with rpm. When the oil warms up I get 42-44 on the freeway. I think the O-ring is still leaking but not too bad at this point. I'll probably watch it for awhile and see what happens. $600 to change the O-ring.

$600 to replace the o-ring? I'm assuming he also replaced the oil pan gasket as well? He replaced the connector on what sensor?

Why do you think the o-ring is "still leaking"?

New gasket, new O-ring, I provide oil, filter, etc. I don't think he took that into account. Let's say $500. I still think it is leaking because the pressure is low when cold and doesn't go up to the relief valve pressure when cold and rev'd up a bit.
