I am thinking of doing some upgrades to my 07 Tahoe. I was wondering about everyone's opinion. First, is it worth it to do anything with the exhaust other than delete the resonator? If there is no real gains to be had then Ill just delete it and save some cash. Second, Is it worth it to change to cross drilled and slotted rotors but leave the stock calipers? I cant really afford to do those too but the stock rotors are pretty bad rusted. Also is there any gains in changing out the intake tube to a straight tube and getting rid of all those baffles? Lastly, I was thinking of getting a set of 20in American Outlaw patrol black rims to replace the 20in stock on it now. Is there really a negligible difference in weight and MPG between 18s and 20s? I know the difference in those two sets are maybe 40lbs. Not sure what the stock 20s weigh to get a difference between new and old. Opinions are very welcome so I dont waste money where its not needed. Thanks

Are the swept surfaces of your rotors rusty? If not, then no replacement is needed.

Since the stock intake is basically a CAI, an aftermarket one won't add anything, even a K&N filter will be compensated for by the ECM. I will admit that the straight tube w/o the resonant chambers sounds good under WOT.

As far as a cat-back exhaust, other than sounding better and possibly getting an intolerable drone at hiway speeds, it won't add much since the stock exhaust is pretty free flowing. The SLP resonator eliminator dual tip sounds about like the previous GMT800s.

The part where the pads are are fine if that is what you were asking.
Guess Ill leave the tubing alone then since it does absolutely nothing for it. I thought it allowed for more free flowing air into the TB. I guess Ill delete the resonator and leave the rest along since it already flows well. Guess that does save some cash rofl. I do think I may need to turn the rotors though. It does seem to surge some on certain stops. Thanks for the reply 73shark.

I may cut the exhaust out back to that flex joint though. That thing makes an awful rattling racket that gets on my nerves lol.

Rotors rust because they are not painted. As long as the swept area is not very rusty if at all, then you're fine.
