So next week I was going to go to the tint shop and get the carpet to match the drapes ... I was thinking ceramic since it seems that's the best available.

But a thought crossed my mind cause I remember from my HyHoe the hazy effect window tint film shows from the inside when the sun shines at certain angles.

So I wonder if there's such a thing available as replacement front windows with the glass itself tinted from scratch, the same way the rest of my rear windows are made?

Can one purchase such a thing?

Thanks.

No. Because in New York and other places you can't have ANY tint on the front windows by law.

I understand that Nathan ... but many states have more relaxed tinting laws, plus there's all the leo vehicles, limos, people with tint waivers, etc.

So my question was just based on whether there is enough demand for them for an aftermarket window manufacturer to construct them tinted from their factory, negating the need for film.

Hell, every single HID kit out there says 'for off road use only' but it hasn't stopped the chinese from making millions of them.

I went with the viper ceramic tint perfect match to the factory tint. Have been very happy also lifetime replacement. When it is installed you will see the word viper on the windows to show you ....you got what you paid for.

Seems kinda like that bottled water and New Jersey situation. Good point though Serge, where's the love for the monied, descriminating demi-outlaws?

Are you serious?

(Wait... I know you are. Still scary, though.)

I do NOT see any of the "haze" you've mentioned, from any angle of the sun, through my tint. It matches perfectly, and it has a lifetime warranty (so, if there ever was a haze, my shop would just replace it). What's it cost, $150 or so to do both windows? I wouldn't think twice about getting your windows tinted with a high-quality tint -- unless, of course, this thread is more about musings over factory-tinted glass, and not about whether you should just go ahead with what's out there already.
