Hello everyone, new to the forum and just purchased my 01 Tahoe z71 with 135x miles. I have several plans for her but funds are short due to the recent purchase. First absolute thing to be done is tint. I have been reading different things all over the place about matching rear windows. The consensus seems to be that the rear windows are about 20%, is this also true for the back glass? Also is that actual vlt? Some people think it's 20 on top of 70. Yes I know the tint shops have meters to tell you, just thought somebody might have pics of how their's turned out. I want to get to around 10% vlt, no darker, all around. So i will be doing fronts in maybe 15? Rears in 50? Yes I know about tint laws. Thanks for any assistance pics are welcome.

I did 30 up front and a layer of 20 over the factory 18 in the rear I love the rear darkness, not too dark looking out but enough so you can't see in

Edit: here is a side pic picture.jpg

Welcome!!

I've got 5% over stock in rear. With all doors closed and windows up, cannot see in the back. You can see out perfectly in the day, and night time isn't too bad imo. 10-20% on rear would be dark enough though. Also, the rear... stays cool year round it's been up to 105°F this summer and the leather seats are cool to the touch.

I've also got 30% up front but plan on darker.

I went 20% over the factory back, 15% on the fronts, and 50% on the entire windshield.

I went 5% over the factory and 35% on the front and then an eyebrow on the windshield (to stay legal) and it's perfect for us :)

I have 5% over factory in rears and 5% on the fronts. Wanting to put 50% on windshield but that's hard to do in TX since we have stickers on there.

Looks great ya'll. I would be doing the windshield but I have a couple small places in it and I've read that tint can intensify them.

Yeah my old Sierra had 5% over factory rear and 5% on the front and I miss it lol. But was kind of a pain to get it inspected. Also worried about getting tickets
