Tips for Tahoe mirror cap removal

Looking for tips on removing the caps on a 15+ Tahoe.

Found one video on YouTube that was less than helpful.

when i removed mine i basically used inside of my palm to push out the inner corner of the cap closer to the car, it popped right out. medium force
