I have been working on getting the top of the two quick disconnect lines undone for an hour and a half. Neither of the tools I have bought at the auto parts store are working. Anyone have some tips on how to get that damn thing released?

Pull the quick-connect fitting back until the internal retainers hit the filter stop.

Twist one end of the Fuel Line Disconnect Tool and insert it between the quick-connect fitting and the filter.

Twist the opposite end of the J 46363 - Fuel Line Disconnect Tool and insert it between the quick-connect fitting and the filter.

Once the Fuel Line Disconnect Tool is inserted, ensure the tool is parallel to the filter and the fitting.
While holding the filter, push the quick-disconnect fitting towards the filter in order to disconnect the quick-connect fitting.
Remove the quick-connect fitting from the filter.
Remove the filter from the bracket.

That is from the service bulletin on the flex fuel filters. I did mine and trust me, the secret is in pushing the fitting toward the filter while the tool is installed and keeping the tool stationary. Sounds contradictory, but it works.

Spray brake clean in where the tool goes they typically get dirt in them and the tool won't allow them to release. If your trying to remove the intake I unbolted the fuel crossover tube since I forgot my fuel tools when we did my knock sensors

Thanks for the responses. Yea I was trying to get the intake manifold off. I finally got the sucker off but I almost lost it. I think it seriously took me 2 hours to get that stupid thing off.
