Tire size for 21 Tahoe Z71

Just purchased a new 2021, well not just a few months ago but they were on back order. I should get it in the next month.

I’ve had a ‘00, ‘05, 11, 17 and now the 21.

Tire sizes have fit differently on all of them.

305s we’re just too big for the 00 and the 05 rubbed a lot.

305s fit great on the 11 and only rubbed in the front on a fully turned wheel.

On the 17 I may of heard them rub once or twice ever, they fit good.

285’s were no issue on any of them except the 00. Think they fit the best on the 17.

my main concern is no rubbing and ride quality. I don’t want speed wabbles or pulling which was a big problem with 305/35/24. Going with a 20 inch rim this time around. Factory tires are 275/60/20 I believe but they look a little small.

Anyone here have 305’s or 295s on a 20 inch rim that can give me there feedback.

You are correct; 275/60R20, Goodyear Wrangler tires come on the 2021 Tahoe Z71. I think they are a good fit and are quieter than I expected. Personally, I don't believe they are too small. I'm "guessing" that any larger, you might experience some rubbing when turning.

First time I changed oil on the 2021 Tahoe Z71, I noticed the front tire is awfully close to the upper A arm. There is only about 3/4” + or - between the two (about a hand width-I could stick my hand up there and rub both at the same time).

I don’t think you will get much wider than a 285 or 295 without changing wheel offset-and then risk rubbing the back of the front inner fender liner.

These would look good with 305s or 12.50s, though.

I experienced rubbing with my stock size during snow season with just some snow build up in the wheel well so I imagine it would be hard to go bigger

There are plenty folks running 33x12.50s out there on stock 22s with no issues.

22” would move the tire sidewall up and perhaps above the control arm.

I have the 2022 Tahoe Z71 with the Goodyear wrangler trailrunners 265/60R20 and I am replacing them with 285/60R20 Nitto Recon grapplers I'll post photos shortly
