Im in a tricky situation here. I want to add new set of wheels and tires to my 2003 suburban before I drop my truck using Belltech 34324 and 2508 kits (2/4 drop).
I have 17 inch z71 wheels without tires.
I dont just want to buy any tires since i dont really know if i will have any problems fitting them with the drop kit.

Does anyone have any experience with a similar setup?

After crunching numbers and using tire size calculator It seems that I will have 3 inches rear clearance and 2 front clearance to body using a 265/70/17 tire. I could go smaller on the sidewalls if needed.
Is that enough clearance?

What are you running now? Generally 3” and 2” is plenty of room depending on your offset.

Usually the trouble, if there is any, is due to the offset and width which can be solved by massaging the fender liner. For reference you can use the tire size calculator to compare it to mine. I have 305/40/22 with a 2” drop. Your proposed tire and mine are the same except the width so you should be good.
