Tire size issue..

I have a 01 tahoe with 305/45/22. My question is can I put a smaller size like 285/45/22 and still look good? Reason is cause of rubbing with the 305's.

i know ppl with 305/35/24s and they have no or very little rub. but a 285 is just gonna be about 1.5inches thinner than a 305, no big issue, they'll still look good

i got 305/30/24's and only rub at full right clock.(backing out of the driveway to the left) tire rubs small bump on drivers side wheel well. otherwise no rub.
