Hi everyone, first time posting.
I recently purchase a used 2016 Yukon xl denali with 7500 miles on it. Had a slight vibration so I had the tires road force balanced at a independent shop. They determine one of the front tires was out of spec (34lbs) and needs to be replaced.
Called GM dealer for appointment to get tire replace under warranty and they informed me that it could take up to 6 weeks to get an answer if the tire will be replaced under the new car warranty. Reason for the lenght of time- they have to send the tire back to the manufacturer to get confirmation that defect of the tire is really a manufacturing defect.
Is this the usual procedure? I find it ridiculous that my car will be out of order for 6 weeks waiting for a tire warranty replacement.
Thanks
