Morning all- The time to purchase new tires for my Tahoe is rapidly approaching.

I do a lot of driving for work, so would like a good highway/all season performance tire. I've been looking at the Cooper HTP and Kumho Crugen HT51 in a 275/55/20. Both seem to have good reviews and are 60,000+ mile tires that are decently priced.

Are there any others y'all have real world experience with I should take a peek at?

Michelin Defenders usually go 80K+ miles and have some of the best rain performance of any tire.

If most or your driving is on pavement, versus offroad and rock crawling, I'd recommend Michelin Defenders. They are pricey, but folks who have owned them have been very happy with their performance in all types of weather. And, they last for a very long time with a 70,000 tread life.

For me in NH, the Defenders have easily meet everything that NH weather can throw at them.

As mentioned above, there are existing threads on tire preferences here in the Forum, but as I remember, for pavement driving, Michelin Defenders are the preferred tire by many folks here.

How much more money are the Cooper SRX? My dad has them on his 2005 Tahoe and my mom has them on her 2013 Highlander. They are AWESOME tires...great traction, balance well, and quiet.

I have also had the Cooper HT Plus which was a GREAT tire as well, that they make in that size.

Also are you sure you can clear that size? When I had that setup on Zachs I had 265/50R20's

I had some vercelli strada on mine and they were cheap an lasted an wore really good. Handled good as well
