Question for all of you:
I need tires soon, anyone have some they like and can recommend? I was looking at Michelin LTX A/T2's or Firestone Destination... and while I'm here my spare wouldn't come down so I had to cut it off. Is there a replacement for this or do I have to rig something up?

Thanks

What size? What style? do you have 26's and need a skinny street tire? Or have a 10" lift and need some 40" boggers?

Ha, no, just stock rims with 265-70-16's on my 2002 LT. Want something that looks somewhat aggressive but I don't want to hurt my MPG's anymore than I have to either.

I have yokohama geolandar at/s on my winter setup. Semi aggressive but quiet. Great tire imo.

Have had 3 sets of michelin LTX's and love them, stock size 02 yukon. Dumped the OEM Firestone's at about 5000 miles on odo as they were horrid. Got 140k miles now. Michelin LTX have good wear, traction, and these new ones seem to have better rolling resistance and are quiter. BUT, they are pricier. To me, was worth it.

Costco has a good deal on the Michelin's right now, 70 off a set so I think I'll go with those. Thanks for the input.

I like my Nitto CrossTeks.

They're good in the rain, an aggressive looking tire with a 60K treadwear warranty. I haven't had them through the snow yet and I don't see off road action but I've heard they do well from the internet reviews I read before buying them.

To start I sell tires for a living and work for Bridgestone America. If you want to go with an aggressive tire but still want the quiet highway ride go with the bridgestone dueler a/t revo2. Its a great all around tire, I have been running them for about 20000 miles now and will not put another tire on my rig. The firestone destinations are also a good tire but over time the will tend to make noise and not ride as nice. The Michelins are a good tire but they will dry rot before you wear the tread out and will probably make noise. Also bridgestone has a 70 dollar rebate right now when you buy 4. Whichever way you decide to go just do not buy goodyear wranglers complete junk.
