so - I got the 2003 Hoe with the 6 disc double din stock Bose system. It is plenty fine for me.
However, like most of you, I am discouraged by not having an AUX port. I am not a double din fan, but mostly because of the price tags associated with the double units. My main concern is the ability to plug my iphone into the radio - I have a crap ton of music on it.

I have replaced multiple Chevy radios - not a problem with the harness kit. I'd like to see any tahoe with a single din unit, if anyone has one. It is no problem to by a low cost one with an AUX port or bluetooth.

And I'd love anyone weighing on if I should just leave the stock unit and wire in an AUX port. I've read the sticky, and while it doesn't appear to awful hard, I'd rather not mess with the stock unit if I can help it.

Anyway...there it is.

I'm rockin a single din reciever. Love it. I probably wouldn't take the time to figure out how to wire in an aux cable/port of some sort but thats me. For $200 you can get a nice deck that is gonna have a full speed iPod hookup and bluetooth already.

Why not get a Bluetooth add on module, like the bluefusion, or something to that effect, they are pretty much plug and play, all you have to do is run the mic wire up to the headliner.

I was really just looking for an inexpenisve newer headunit that allowed me to play the iphone through the radio, because it has no AUX port.
Inexpensive being the key word - I can get a relatively decent JVC headunit for around $120, but all this add on crap for the on-star and the sub/amp and the door chimes, blah blah blah - it just isn't worth it for me. I'll just listen to the radio and burn a few cd's.

I got ya man, but I figured a 20-30 dollar unit to get streaming audio through your stock unit would be a viable option.

Ill check the model number of mine and let you know, I have an older version that works with my 03 Denali, but I took it out when I put my app radio in. If you're interested maybe we can work out a deal. Pm me if you want it.
