Yeah it was a trim level. I can't tell you what all was supposed to be special about it because the one I had was pretty well ragged out. Carpet was replaced with house carpet, headliner had been re-done in this really ugly polyester material that was falling down... pattern reminded me of a ******'s shirt.... weird blue peacock something.... gives me the willys thinking about it. The AC had been ripped out and the holes in the firewall were patched with cardboard. Yeah that truck was a low point in my life lol.... leaked transmission fluid so bad I had to keep a pan underneath it to catch the fluid and pour it back in to be able to drive it home (don't judge me).

I had a '99 S10 extended cab 2.2 5 spd - very fun truck to drive.
..the '84 s10 Durango extended cab 2.8 auto - very dangerous truck to drive
..and a '91 s10 single cab short bed w/ the iron duke and a 5 spd - got me from a to b and then some. Got horrible gas mileage and had no power, but that thing was dependable as hell.

Hell yeah the Typhoons and Syclones were sick!
My 1st car was an 85 Camaro with the Iron Duke 4. 90 horses if I remember correctly. Was a 4 spd auto w/od, ac and 3.73 rear. I could not kill that car! And believe me, I tried. Car was a dog, especially if the ac was on. Good 1st car for me tho. If I had something fast, I don't think I'd be here today. It was the same motor that was in the Fiero.
Sorry I keep replying to old posts... took me a while to catch up! lol

For what it's worth, when I installed a cheapy header on my Jeep, I used a Fel Pro gasket instead of the cheapy paper one that came with it. I coated it in Permatex copper gasket spray before installing it though. Installed it a year and a half ago and it hasn't leaked a bit.

Post away:D. I think I should've got some of the exhaust Permatex too. I still have to do the driver side, but since it isn't leaking, I'm not gonna rush it. Passenger side wasn't too bad, but the header bolt on the driver side near the firewall looks almost impossible! Not looking forward to it.

Are you pulling the inner fender wells to pull your headers? If you go in through there it's way easier believe me.

I didn't do it on the pass side, but I'm def doing it for the driver side. Driver side is a little more packed with stuff too.
I've gotten good at pulling my liners. I do it for plugs/wires too since installing the headers. Only takes a few minutes and makes things so much easier.

Yup! That iron duke was a dog alright.... but a nearly indestructible one at that. I had an '88 Camaro with the 2.8 v6 MPFI and then the '84 dime had the 2.8 carbeurated.... both versions sucked. Couldn't believe AMC initialled put that motor in the XJ... thank God it was only for a couple years. I'd have gladly had the 2.5 in both of those vehicles rather than that tiny v6.

If it's anything like the oil pressure sender on the back of the head, yeah I can imagine lol. I did one on a 2010 CC w/ the 5.3 and it was a contortionist act getting to it, but I got it swapped out.
