After all this and reading the ty forums, I started to get the mod bug! Thx guys.
I really liked the rear Escalade appliques. Hard to find in my neck of the woods, and at the time no one was selling a set on the forums. Saw an ad on cl for a set. Score! Guy was parting out an Escalade and was selling a set for $100. Only thing was I had to drive 2 hrs one way to pick them up. No biggie. Came home with these. This was after the color match, which I bartered some other work for. Came out great. Perfect match. View attachment 79886

I've had the Hoe since 2012 and I've never changed the shocks, so I figured I might as well. Found a complete set of kyb excels online. Supposedly was compatible with my ZW7 suspension, which is something like the deluxe riding suspension. So I snagged them.

These shocks are definitely NOT compatible with the ZW7 suspension. Bought them from shock warehouse.com. I called them to see if they would do something for me since the Hoe was riding worse then before and actually felt dangerous now. Swayed side to side in the rear at normal highway speeds. Guy basically called me a liar and said what was I to expect from a shock that costs way less then a stock ZW7 shock. I recommend staying away from those guys! And stay away from these shocks if you have the ZW7 suspension. Waste of money Imo. View attachment 80008 View attachment 80009

They were useless on my Sub. The Hoe is getting something better.

Shit! That's a good swap. I don't get the exhaust interference with the front drive shaft. Some of these vendors are a joke.
As for swaps, I'm thinking of something different for the Sub. I have a wrecked 96 Bentley TurboRT 420. Since they use a 4L80E with a vastly different bellhousing, I might swap one in the Sub. Would be a ***** with the Rolls Phantom front end. But the towing power would be off the chart. 800 Lb Ft of torque! Slightly less than my Arnage, but the head gaskets are more reliable. Those motors are tanks.

Ok, now I'm just driving it around, trying to work out some kinks. The wires I bought for it aren't right. A few boots are burning on the header tubes.

Got Taylor racing wires with shorter boots.

Wires hitting headers. Bad header design. You just keep getting hit again and again. But you keep going. That's what makes a cool rig.

They were gloss originally. Now they're dull. I like the idea of painting to match. I think I may have replied to the wrong person in the thread. Confusion is the sign of an overloaded mind. Mine is so full of shit that I spend my life in a state of constant confusion, interrupted by occasional moments of clarity.
