MOTHERF@#$ER MOTHERF@#$ER!!!!!
Tony found out some interesting things. I was out a month ago to replace my weak ass ground cable. But all they had for premade ones were 4 guage. But at Napa I asked (for some reason they didn't tell me) I asked for bulk wire and they have 2 or zero gauge. Much cheaper as well. So next month I am buying the wire and connectors and replacing that ground wire been meaning to. This all started due to my stereo losing power for 8 months. Was going to replace it till I found they have one these vehicles about 8 grounds. One is under driver's door between rails and the other by the left driving light.

Hope that helps. I thought my stock stereo was dead. The cd changer never worked. Once I cleaned thosr grounds I heard my stereo and the cd changer works now. Plus there were times other funky things would happen, like my locks and windows would not work, or lose power for a couple hours to my windows. Ever since no more weird electrical problems.

Yeah, before joining this forum I never realized how important grounds are to a vehicle. I did the grounds on the lower front driver side, it's an easy one.

Went to my mother's for Christmas today and took the Hoe. She lives on a really quiet street--and it is loud. We were talking and she said she heard what sounded like a miss--kind of--as I was driving down the street. I was going less then 10 miles an hr. I knew I was hearing what sounded like popping from the exhaust when I drive--I can also feel it in the truck. I knew I wasn't imagining it, since my mother confirmed hearing it too.
Funny--when in park I can rev the hell out of it and it sounds fine, only happens when I'm driving. Doesn't matter if I'm on the highway or local streets, same thing.

I used to have a 02 F150 with the 5.4 and it would do something similar to what you're describing. It ended up being a weak coil. I know our LS engines don't typically have coil issues, but maybe you have a weak one that isn't bad enough to set any codes yet.
