Too Much Rust?

Hi,

I'm looking at a low mile '05 Escalade across the country. Any thoughts on this level of rust? I'm fine replacing parts but the left panel engine bay (anyone know this part #) looks relatively rusted for 30k miles. Any guidance would be helpful (ie fine, fine with $$, or run)

That doesn’t look bad at all for a 2005. I’m in the NE so that looks mint for up here.

X2 on what @ReaperHWK said. You'd be paying a pretty penny for an 05 with that little of rust here in WI, granted if the body wasn't all banged up. A quick hit with a wire wheel and some rust converter and you're basically good as new.

Around here anything that old is pampered or rotted out. There's no worry about that rust.

And then follow that program up with a good coating of fluid film or wool wax and you'll buy many years of use. Do all the cavities of the vehicle for best results.
