Hey guys, i have a 02 yukon denali. I haven't been able to drive it this summer due to a transmission overheating problem. it happens almost instantly when driving, after 5 mins its about 200+ range on the gauge.

Along with the overheating i have a loss of power, if i press the gas at a dead stop it takes a while to actually catch and start moving.

i haven't been able to get the codes pulled off the car yet at a transmission shop but what do you think that would be? transmission fluid wasn't bad i changed it to inspect the filter and pan underneath.

Thanks

Edit: all gears shift fine, only problems with shifting is when the transmission gets hot then it starts to shift strange for sure.

miles on truck? original trans? might be on its way out... also could be the pump is broken so its not pumping fluid. might want to take it to a shop but i can almost guarantee they will just say replace it. trans shops are the worst. good luck.
