Anybody have ALLDATA or a GM manual that has the torque specs for the transmission to bellhousing bolts for the NV4500? Haynes and Chilton manuals list 74 ft. lbs. but that seems awfully high for threads in an aluminum bellhousing.

Thanks

The trans is out of a 98, as far as I know they are all the same 95 and up, 92-94 had a different bolt pattern but still used an aluminum bellhousing. It says 74 ft lbs too .

40 ft lbs feels as tight as I'm comfortable with but I guess I can't argue with 3 different sources giving me the same specs. Hopefully they won't strip out on me

Thanks for confirming it :Handshake:
