Anyone know how to up my tahoe's torque? To give it a little more acceleration off the line

You can do many things if you have the time and money. Intake, exhaust, bigger cam, heads, plugs, wires, BB tune and there you go.

haha thanks ..i was gonna get an engine tune-up a while ago but that was gonna run me like 500 bucks. the cars from 1995 and i dont know the last time it was tuned up. you think that will help my torque out at all?

gears make good use of the power, not a cheap change though. Ever wonder how guys with little 4 cylinders push big tires? Big gears.

If it's an auto a small stall will help. Although most will get into an argument about how much stall to go with, If you figure your torque curve runs from 2400 to about 4000 rpms, any stall from 2200 up to 3500 will net you more drive line torque acceleration off the line. The problem comes in durring what you use the truck for. If your on slick boat ramps it may be a bit of a PITA trying to get traction if your not 4wd depending on how much stall you go with. Durring towing though it can be good to get that load moving. Yes gears and all that are wonderful at making it run better and bolting on more hp but a stall in an automatic is one of the best mods money can buy.
