Hello, i bought some torsion bars from a junk yard and they just gave them to me just like that without any markings. My question is, do they need to be put in a certain way? I think the ones on my Yukon right now are put in wrong. It’s leans really low in the front, and the torsion keys are all the way tighten.

Maybe someone could post a picture and see if they are installed correctly or you could post a picture of yours installed and someone could comment if they are correct.

Yes that would be great if someone could do that, before I try installing them and they land up being wrong!

I would hate to put them on backwards and loosen the strength of them from going the opposite direction.

The "clocking" doesn't matter if that's what you are wondering.

But there's a spec for the end where the torsion keys are. Something about a "z-dimension" IIRC. I believe the Hayes manual has a diagram with some values.

Thank you, I’ll look into that!

I know at the end of each bar is a letter R and a Letter L with an arrow facing the direction of left and right. I just don’t know what if that goes towards the front or towards the end.

Oh, ok. Definitely there's a left and right.

Not sure if it helps, but here is my 98 (2-door). The GM manual doesn’t mention clocking them, just putting them on the correct side.
