Torsion keys installed wrong?

Hey guys, just installed my Crown Suspension 3/4 kit. Everthing went excellent but to install the front keys I did not need the torsion key tool to compress the keys to slide the bolt assembly in. I was able to just push up on the key and slide it in by hand. Also the bolts are tightened almost all the way. Are there left and right keys?

Are they adjustable keys? You should have had to use the torsion tool to get them in.

I'm guessing that you need to remove and rotate the keys to the next flats on the torsion bar.

I wonder if I swap sides if it would help. I tried rotating the keys both ways and it seemed to be way off, one was stuffed in the channel and the other way pointing to the ground almost, there would have been a LOT of tension. I'm using my phone right now so I'll try to get some pics up. Also I would like another inch in the back if possible, do springs eventually "break in" or would I need 5" lowering springs?

They are under a lot of tension. You shouldn't be able to put it together by hand. The coils will settle a little after a few days.

Are these drop keys or lift keys?

Drop keys, also I failed to mention that I did this on a post lift. So the wheels where off the ground. It just seemed odd. Bolts are both cranked almost all the way and it sits at its 4" drop.
