I just went through this with our 08 Denali. As the chrome clad coating fails on the lips of the 20” rims, the TPMS is crucial to low psi alerts.
All the time invested in purchasing sensors online (that were used) sold as new and having a shop install the expired parts caused a revelation.
Purchasing a $299 scan tool that reads the battery life in the sensors is less expensive than trying to low price shop for parts and labor. Now with the Denali sold, the diagnostic is used on a 09 Escalade Platinum.
Pay (in time saved) now or pay (more in dollars) later.
