Time to swap my winter wheels for my summer wheels.
With the COVID lockdown and my friendly local tire shop shut down I would like to get the program unit to reset the TPMS myself.
I still haven’t added the DIC switch to my SSV.
Anyone have any help on what I need to do this?
The shop guy had a hand held unit to do this but he is not available to get the information from.

Thanks

I can find a reset tool on eBay
Hardware Version: OEC-T5
Software Version: EL-50448
But the instructions tell to use the DIC switch:
--Enter the interface of tire pressure display by DIC
--DIC shows "Press Set / Ctrl to re-learn"
--Press "Set / Ctrl"

I don’t have a DIC switch yet, will the OEC-T5/ EL-50448 work without?

Thanks

I think I enter my tpms learn mode by holding both the lock and unlock buttons on the remote.

Do you have a remote? If so, I would say "yes". Those tools are not even $10 and are great, no more air loss!

Yes, when I got it at the policeman’s auction it only had a key but I was able to program a couple of remotes.
I’ll bet Tom’s trick on the remote was what the tire guy did to program the TPMS.
I got an EL-50488 TPMS programmer on eBay for $8. In about a week I’ll see if I can make it work.

It should. Let me think, we turn the key to run and press the lock and unlock at the same time on the remote and the DIC shows tire learn active and then you can walk around to each tire with the device instead of letting air out. You still follow the sequence, LF, RF, RR, LR and listen for the horn beeps and watch the lights, very cool to me that they could do that.
