Took the Truck to the dealer for TSB I got for the ABS module.

I asked them if they could program the new wheel sensors to the truck.

They say they can’t as they are aftermarket sensors and the dealerships only can program stock ones.

Anyone else experience this issue?

That sounds like a lot of BS, If they are sensor with the right Hz that GM uses it should not be a problem. THey should also have a reset tool that will do all different brands of TPMS, I just bought the tool from Amazon for about $16.00 as I have summer and winter tires/wheels

You can do it without the tool, although a bit more involved. It should be outlined in the owners manual

Yes try the re-learn procedure in the manual (letting air out of the tires). If that does not work, then the sensors themselves may need to be programmed which will likely require you to visit a tire shop.

Thanks all, this is the 1st time I’ve dealt with this.

Besides the Regal I have this is my first truck with this stuff.

Yeah laugh all ya want, my last newer truck is my ole 03 Silverado. I knew the tire/s were low when the tank pulled one way or the other.

I can only see the “man he’s an ole fart jokes starting”. Lol

The 50448 can be had in any color you like on Ebay or Amazon for about $10 delivered.

Yep, get the cheap tpms tool off Amazon. Makes it easy to program them.

Buy your own tool. The manual method described in your owners manual, is cumbersome and hit or miss, at best. The tool is cheap, but just make sure that it works on the frequency that your TPMS devices are set to operate on.

And look for one that works on all of your cars.
