I replaced the module with one that supported TPMS out of a salvage yard so the vehicle is fixed back to original intent from the assembly line.

Good move, using the already-programmed switch from a donor vehicle. I was about to suggest that there must be thousands of them out there in salvage yards or UPulls.

I have a 2005 suburban. I could not find a place, using a tech 2 clone, to turn tpms off. Once it is turned on, it is all but impossible to turn it off. I hate TPMS.

I have a 2004. I found recently that this particular year has a one year only type of TPMS sensor. The place (Costco) installing my tires didn't have them. They were 20115 Shraders from TPMS.com. Costco put them on once I got them.
Not sure if that is what you are looking for or helps. Costco still had a little trouble getting them to sync but once done, works fine.

Not true. That sensor is listed for 2000-2004 MY Tahoes.
