you ordered the part from a gm dealer and used the vin number? doesn't sound right....What I’m saying is if you buy the correct part number that GM offers now it will not come with TPMS support.

I replaced the module with one that supported TPMS out of a salvage yard so the vehicle is fixed back to original intent from the assembly line.
I have a 2004. I found recently that this particular year has a one year only type of TPMS sensor. The place (Costco) installing my tires didn't have them. They were 20115 Shraders from TPMS.com. Costco put them on once I got them.
Not sure if that is what you are looking for or helps. Costco still had a little trouble getting them to sync but once done, works fine.
