2012 PPV, stock tire size is 265/60/17.

Today I put on a set of winter tires, 245/65/17. They fit without issue. When I took the Tahoe around the block, I got the message mentioned in the title.

According to tiresize.com, the winter tires are the same overall diameter. Three of the tires are at about 8/32, and one is brand new and 13/32.

Is it possible that one brand new tire is causing the message?

Any other suggestions?

Definitely possible... the difference in height translates to a difference in wheel speed so the speed sensors for the ABS may think that one wheel is spinning/losing traction.

Thanks, I suspected the same. I have one of those fancy scanners that displays wheel speeds in real time... Maybe I'll hook it up on the way to work and test the theory.
