No luck, codes came back. Going to reinstall the stock intake tube for a couple of days to see if the Airaid is defective.

Ok, another update. I e-mailed Justin last week and asked him about this, and he seems to think that the issue is a problem with the Flex Fuel system on the truck. When the intake tube came loose, the truck freaked out and changed some of the parameters of the fueling system to try and get it running normally again. Now, with the intake tube hooked back it, the computer doesn't know what to do or how to compensate (which seems a little backwards to me, but I didn't design the thing...I just drive it). It would require a scan to confirm this and possibly re-flashing my tune files, so rather than waiting for a scan cable and having to physically swap out the computers and do the Security/CASE re-learn, I just bit the bullet and bought an AutoCal. Much easier this way...I can just e-mail the EFI Live files back and forth w/ Justin and upload them to the truck on the fly from the handheld. Really hoping this solves the problem.

Either way, I talked the wife into letting me buy an AutoCal...so I think I came out ahead. :D

Ok, so I got my AutoCal, went into the software, and proceeded to complete what I thought was an ethanol percentage reset and a idle relearn. The issues persisted all through the drive home from Nevada yesterday. Today, when I got into the truck, it wouldn't start. It would crank and crank, but wouldn't start..like it wasn't getting fuel. I frantically e-mail Justin (again) asking his advice.

He promptly e-mailed me back basically saying "dude...the log you sent doesn't show that the ethanol corrections have been made. Did you do it correctly?"

I read through the instructions again, and realized that while I selected the correct action in the software, I didn't actually complete it. I once again hooked my computer up, repeated the ethanol percentage correction and idle relearn (correctly this time), and the truck fired RIGHT up. No sputtering, no hesitation, everything running great. How it was explained to me was that when the intake tube came off, the extra rush of unmetered air really screwed up the AFR and made the truck think it had E85 in the tank instead of gasoline. Even after putting the tube back on, without correcting the ethanol percentage in the computer, the truck was flooding itself trying to get the fueling correct. That's why it had been sputtering at startup. Today it finally got to the point that it wouldn't run at all because it was injecting so much fuel during startup.

I'll report back if anything changes but at this point, I'm fairly confident that the problem is SOLVED.

About damn time! :happy160:

My 2010 Tahoe is doing something like that. P2135 was the code it gave. First, just the reduced power light came on and now the traction light and the CEL is on. The code was something about the throttle body.

That sounds like a throttle position sensor issue. Have you cleaned or otherwise messed with your throttle body recently? Might want to start a new thread for this.

ok so i had every single symptom that you mentioned...

MY fix was this:

Apparently a rat had chewed through a coil wire in cyl 4 which caused my sputtering and apparently freaked out the computer to shut offmy stabilitrak and Trac cont. and also made 1-2 gears shift hard. My mechanic fixed the wire and replaced the spark plug in that cylinder due to fouling.

Fixed about 2 weeks ago with zero problems since! crossing my fingers that it did the trick.

Apparently it doesnt take much to freak out the computers in these trucks

I also had every issue you described. I popped open my hood to find that the filter for my AEM intake had come loose and was barely hanging on. I immediately reattached it and presto, all Stabilitrack messages and CEL dissapeared. It has been a couple of days now with no issues so I'm hoping that is the end of that issue.

There is a recall out there too for the throttle bodies. I read a while back.
