Hey tony, had a few questions about the TBSS 14 bolt.
How are they? can you run them a long time without a rebuild or is that something that goes quick on those SS's???

how much does one run for a used one with about 5000 miles??

THANKS! :Handshake:

guessing its going to be narrower then yours, and its going to have link mounts, not leaf spring mounts...and the lug pattern is going to be different

go find a 14 bolt semi floater from a obs half ton truck...they come in 6 lug(either find different axles with 5 lug or swap the front to 6 lug, i think your 2wd?), will fit your spring width, fit the truck width and you will be good to go..

lots of them had rear diffs that went out on earlier model there was a service bulliten for popping. Make sure you use the new ls 75w-90 from gm in it NO SYNTHETIC.

Im sure it can work but your better off going with the 2500 rear ends since less work to make fit in.

I cant find **** around here for 14bolts besides this one... I tried looking everwhere. I can always just have the axle lugs welded and re-drilled since yea its 5x5 lug 2wd

But ill keep in touch, i posted this on PT.net so well see if anyone has info for this swap. Im sure ill have to weld spring perches and stuff like that. Thanks again.

biggest thing is that im pretty sure the width of the axle is quite a bit narrower then the obs 2wd...i know a obs 4x4 is narrower then a 2x4..not really sure why..cant remember if that was spring perches or the whole axle though
