Is there any difference in these 2 trailer tire pressure sensors? Looking at the sensors they look the same (both have the same GMP Standard 84152501 and run at 433 MHz) but the fitment says the 84338125 won't work with the 2022 Tahoes and Yukons. They look absolutely identical with the same verbiage on the sensor. You can get 4 of the 84338125 sensors on ebay for about $100 VS $150 for 2 through GM.

Anyone with experience on these sensors?

I found documentation showing that 85110397 replaces 84152501 (backward compatible). Additionally, as you mentioned the sensor looks identical along with all the same verbiage on the sensor.

I don't have any direct experience with these sensors (yet), but based on what I'm seeing, if I was in your shoes I would buy the 84338125 sensor for a '22 Tahoe/Yukon. I'm not sure what changed to require a new part number. If I had to guess I'd say the sensor supplier is sourcing different microchips from their Tier 2 and GM wanted to change the part number to document the change, while still retaining the same form/fit/function.

GMC Accessories site pops up P/N 85110397 for the sensor accessory, containing two sensors, if I put in my VIN.
The picture on the accessories site shows P/N 84152501 printed on the sensor.
Other Parts Sites show the same P/N 84152501 printed on the sensor in the picture of P/N 84338125...

My guess is the pictures were not updated or are not accurate on these various parts sites.

Maybe best plan is go to a GM dealer's parts counter, ask for the P/N 85110397 Kit, take a sensor out of the box and look at what is printed on it.

It could be that there is no actual change to the sensor P/N, and that P/N 85110397 is simply the part number for the kit containing 2x of sensor P/N 84152501.
Incidentally, the part number printed on the sensor (P/N 84152501) does not come up in any GM parts catalogs I can search online...

I thought the same about the pictures. The only thing that makes me think they are interchangeable is the 84338125 sensors work on 19-20 Silverado and Sierra 1500-2500 trucks, with that written, so do 85110397. So given they are backwards compatible for the older models I have to believe they should be for the new models. I like your idea to look at a sensor at a parts dealer to see what is actually on the 85110397.

I am likely to just order a set of 2 from the dealer (I only have a single axle boat trailer), and apply some of the GM Rewards points I got from buying my vehicle, to basically get them for free...after I twist my dealer's arm to get a discount since they didn't click the button when they ordered my ride...When I get this done, I will post a pic of the sensor on here.

I bought mine from my dealer the same day I took delivery 10 days ago for my 22 Yukon SLT and I asked for part number 85110397 when the parts manager gave me the package it had a sticker part number 84338125 and I said that was the wrong part number and he told me that they get the sensors in bulk from GM and assured me it was the 85110397 and GM had not yet changed the sticker number to reflect the new part number and he showed me on his computer with my vin number that was the correct part and they work just fine. BTW my dealer also forgot to order the sensors so they sold me two of them for $50

Thank you! Sounds like that answers the Friday mystery question lol.

FYI, picked up the TTPM yesterday, note the P/N on the sensors which were in the kit w/ P/N 85110397 are 13450608
