Anybody use the trakmotive extended travel CVs axles for our gmt800s...

I'm probably right at the edge of needing extended travel,.but need one replaced, so thought I would see if anyone has used them.

I did. My lift is so mild, rough country keys... not at all cranked, just levelled with 81069 coils in the back, so don't think they were needed....

Did the key kit require spacers? I still think the extended axles were worth it even if you don't have a 6" lift.

How was the install? I ordered a set for my 06 yukon. They came in today. Got the old one out on the passenger side (needed to be replaced) and started to get the new one in but ran out of daylight and had to get the kids fed and ready for bed anyway. What little bit I did with the new one, either I didn't have it in good in the hub, or it's going to be a real bear to get it to fit. I'm hoping I just didn't have it in the hub all the way. Anyway, if you don't care, let me know what your experience was. Thanks.

I didn't have any issue. I was doing a few things at once.. so probably replaced the shock at the same time...

I watched it, and :

1. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience!

2. How did you find out that the 07-13 was exactly that much longer? Curious because I'm down to my final few parts to order before making my own set of long travel LCA's...and a set of mid-travel LCA's....and if I could find a way to not use spacers that did not involve having custom cv shafts made, it would be glorious

I ordered two of those polymer spacers a few months ago, decided they were too flimsy for hardcore use, but thought it might be worth keeping them for trailside repair? They're like 1.73" thick, so I ordered two pieces of 6061 T6 aluminum bar stock at 6" diameter x 2" long and plan to turn them down to match the polymers for my mid-travel LCA's. Ordered two 6061 T6 pieces 6" D x 3.5" to make the long travels out of. Was planning to match the thickness/length of the two polymers stacked together... With that... I'm still wanting/planning to use the extended travel CV axles... How are yours holding up?? I'm probably goin with the GSP brand because they list at 0.23" longer than Trakmotive (which I know sounds ridiculous but every mm counts)
3. Do you know if yours are 6 bearing or 8 bearing?
4. Nice, clean ride!
