Had a complete transmission flush and filter changed at my local dealer. Finally got around to reading the invoce and it says after 100 miles to change the filter again. The tech never said anything about this....

What do you guys reccomend? Have them change the filter again or just leave it as is and hope for the best. Seems to be so many conflicting theories on flushed around here!! 06 denali with 80xxx.

Flushing can dump a bunch of crud back in the pan which the new filter picks up. they say to change it again so you have a new filter after all the crud had been dislodged and in the filter. So it makes sense to me. I believe the dealer drop the pan and changes the filter. flushes the system and then drive it for a while and drop the filter out to start fresh.

Never take it to fast lube place for a flush, they are a joke. they don't drop the pan to replace the filter first so you end up with an old dirty filter full of more crud.
