Damn, sounds like a loose torque converter, loose flywheel, or bad torque converter.

Anybody in the Pittsburgh, Pa. area that could give him a hand a repair shop is not an option for him right now and I would hate to see him have to sell it.

Loose bolt on convertor! Heard that same noise under WOT!
Pull cover and replace it asap!
