tranny issue need help

ok guys i was driving today and during acceleration when the truck was shifting from 1-2 there was a loud pop (thought the u-joint on the drive shaft broke) and all forward gears were lost. i didn't have forward gears even when shifting manually. reverse still works. any ideas what it could be. any help or insight would be greatly appreciated. thanks

I'd say start looking for a tranny, or find a shop to rebuild it. Sounds like clutch bands went, possibly sunshell.

I had the same thing happen to me on friday morning. Except i have all forward gears and no reverse, and a whurring sound like gears barley touching while driving and in all other gears i think the sunshell blew apart and then took out reverse. You need to look for a tranny. i ordered one through monster transmission.
