if you don't buy local and it takes a dump in the first month, how easy will it be to warranty? will they cover the labor to R&R it? what about shipping it back? lots of questions. So is it worth it save $3-400 and have issues down the line? I know my time is worth money to me and I try not to ever give it away (unless she's smoking hot)

Why not rebuild it your self and save a ton of money? I rebuilt mine in one day and that was the first time I ever worked on one. I spent about 600 in better parts and learned a ton about the 4l60e. They are not that hard to work on. Rebuilding an engine is harder than a transmission.

i've been watching a ton of videos on youtube, but i'm not that auto tech savvy....... i can tear a pc apart with my eye's closed, i can work on any printer/laserjet/inkjet ever made................... but i'm chicken to work on my car, for anything THIS deep.... and how would i know what to replace??? i'm probably looking at the 2k job.... but humor me, and explain why YOU think i can rebuild it......

Well I finally picked up my truck today and the damage was $2300. Full rebuild, new oem trans cooler lines, Oem trans cooler and install of my vette servo. Runs great and feels a lot better not to mention its also a 2yr/24000 mile warranty. Place I took it to is top rated and the owner is great
