Trans Cooler Line?

Just noticed some seepage on passenger side near radiator, from hose between the crimpings. Check the hose on the left, blending in with the background because of how wet and covered it is lol

I believe this is the the transmission cooler line...correct? 2008 Yukon XL Denali

YIKES! Is that road salt causing all the rust? it is getting harder by the year to justify living in CA but by the looks of the belts i now have at least one reason, "no rust". It looks like even belts rust! No disrespect intended, the effects of road salt are simply amazing.

Yes, this truck has been in NY for it's entire 12 year life. The salt is insane and what it will do.

Is this a common problem on these? I have a 2013 LT with Tow package, live in snow belt, so I am assuming it has tranny cooler. The shop doing my oil change the other day said I was going to need new lines. $400

I am a do it my selfer...I chuckled at that price.

@Royalwapiti This line and the oil cooler lines are prone to seepage at the crimping point. There's a similar thread a few posts down about only replacing the flexible tubing and the crimps with better clamps.

I just did mine, little hint don't cut the old lines when pulling them out, it will give you idea how to slide new ones in, would have to bend and squeeze a little. Overall not too hard, get few extra clips they are very cheap. Maybe consider adding extra transmission cooler?
