trans in h3 same as hoe?

theres a guy selling a brand new gm trans from a h3 on craigslist, so i was wondering if it was the same as my 02 hoe... any ideas?

Its my understanding that the wanna-be hummers have the same platform (frame, suspension and powertrain) as the tahoe platform so if the year is compatible, it should be the same- the 4L60 I would guess.

i thought only the H2's were on the same frame as hoes

H3 should be on the 300 frame series along with the colorado's envoys and other mini's

No. The transmission in the H3 is not the same as the Tahoe. Tahoe used a 4L60e through 2008, then switched to the 6L70e in 2009. The H3, which was actually made by Isuzu (whom GM owns) came equipped with the Assian (sp?) AR-5. It's the same transmission and rear axle as the Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon, Isuzu B-series truck, Pontiac Solstice, Saturn Sky, and Opel GT (Europe only). The H3 is just a glorified Chevy Colorado, GMC Canyon, and Isuzu B-series pickup truck. It's platform was never made to support a V8 engine. That's why the frame got notched when they caner our with the H3 Alpha and Colorado Extreme.

my bad, I thought we were talking about the H2- I read too quickly..... Yeah, the H3 is a lot smaller.
