hi guys

I have a problem on my Chevy Tahoe, 1997, 150k miles 5.7 Vortec and 4L60E. and I have several problems that I think are due to electronics: I have no speedometer, no tachometer, no shift position light, and often it starts in 3rd. I have no kickdown either.

I think the solenoid transmition, the default code tells me "torque converter malfunction, shift solenoid A, B shift solenoid .

what do you think? in France, everybody changes these transmition, without seeking the problem.

i would start by checking the plug on the side of the trans to make sure there are no problems with the wiring. sounds more like a wiring/computer problem than a trans problem (as i assume you are still driving the truck and its shifting?)

the 4l60E's are problems in every country :) and usually require rebuild or replacement.

thank you for your reply.

I suppose you drive less than in the U.S. abruptly in europe? I thought the tranny was longer with you.

I checked the wiring on the side of the trans, there is an electronic module on the left side near the kickdown cable.

I checked with the OBD 2 , for him it is a problem of solenoid.

unknown at this time.
Box on left side of cable are pressure switches for gear indication nuetral safety...

Check for a burned fuse #20 it supplies power for tranny. we will start from there.

hello

I checked the voltage coming to the fuse "20 and it is good.

the shift solenoids A and B was good

I noticed that the solenoid pushing a spring loaded piston in the valve body, but one of them sinks does not return
