Looks good. On some vehicles adding the stepper and overlay works, others it does not. Trying to figure out what the combo is that makes it work. Can I ask what year is your Tahoe/Yukon? Did it have factory tow package, or DIC controls for the cluster?

If you read the thread on Z71 Tahoe-Suburban that details this add on, no one has yet figured out what makes some work with the addition of a stepper motor and overlay, while others do not.

2003 Tahoe. Yes, I do have the tow package from the factory and also have the DIC controls on the steering wheel. In addiction, I was able to fix the dim PRND321 which brighten it up once again.

Thanks. For some reason 03's always seem to work. It's 04 and later where it's a craps shoot.

Look at the picture I attached. You have to re-solder the diode's to the left of the speedometer. I re-solder all of them, top & Bottom.

Sorry for bringing up an old post but I thought it would be better than starting a new thread

Anyways i installed blue leds in the cluster
i resoldered the diodes and the PRNDL works now thanks to dhulsey779
Now i want to replace all of my stepper motors

I have a couple of questions

I seen a few kits on ebay for the stepper motors but which ones should I look for? I read that some are cheap and crap out really fast and I dont want to do it over again

After the motors are replaced how are the needles replaced in correct position?

If I wanted to add the trans temp motor where can I get the white overlay to show the trans temp?

I have an 03 tahoe

Thanks

I got that off Amazon as well. It was the Dorman White 2500HD gauge face.
