Hey everyone,

New here, so excuse me if this is a dumb question...

I have a 97 Yukon 4wd (non-auto 4wd) with the 5.7 that has a leaky drain plug on the transfer case. I imagine you're not supposed to put any sealants on these, so my question is, replace the plug? Or should I be looking for something else? I cleaned the threads on the plug as best as I could, but still leaking. Appreciate any help.

A couple wraps of PTFE / Plumbers tape will probably stop it. Keep it on the threads at the end of the bolt so it doesn't get in the oil. But probably best to just replace it.
