Vehicle is a 2006 Z71 Tahoe with auto 4WD and Stabilitrack.

My T-case has trans fluid in it right now. I checked the manual and it's a little confusing. It says for AWD with Stabilitrack use Dexron III. I think I jumped on this seeing the word "Stabilitrack" and that's what I used last time (the only time I had changed the fluid). Now I see for the auto T-case I should use Auto-Trak fluid. Can some of you confirm this?

If I have been using the wrong fluid for the last 50k miles, have I caused a problem? I have only been off-road once but I frequently shift to auto 4WD and 4HI just to keep things lubricated. Everything seems to work fine.

From the 06 manual.

Can't really speak to any damage that may have been done. But you're right. It should be Auto Trak II.

Look for the TC RPO code on the list in the glovebox. Should be an NP-something. What is it?

NP5 - applies to steering wheel, and NP8 for the TC
