transfer case ?

I have a 2004 Denali. I was working on it and I had to take the front drive shaft off. I had to leave so I dropped it off the jack stands and well it rolled out the garage like it was in neutral. Is this normal?

yes, the front and rear diff have to be connected. do not attempt to drive it with the drive shaft off!!! it all works as one unit
