Okay so it's been cold out. And I've had this problem for a little while. I'll get on the highway and speedup and my transmission seems to search for gears. Sometimes sounding like it going to throw a gear if I have to get on it. But it also does it when slowing down to.

I would take it to a highly rated in your area, independent transmission specialist and have them look it over.

Makes me wonder what you'r experiencing, precisely. If you're hearing a loud clunk, you could have worn out motor mounts as the transmission shifts. Can you elaborate a little more on what you hear/feel and under what circumstances?

Basically it sounds like it searches for gears but specifically if it has to shift down twice. Then it sounds like a big clunk. It also does this if I get on it. It feels like the transmission does a lot of braking.
