Well I need help. Decided to drop my transmission pan and change my filter and fluid. Seems whoever did the last service ran the bolt in at an angle. The bolt that is in the corner nearest the driver side rear wheel. Well I have no choice but to Fujitsu back in the way it came out. Unfortunately it is leaking around the bolt no matter how tight I get it. Wondering if an additional washer would serve to tighten it up. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Yeah, I would try an extra washer or maybe a shorter bolt or cut the original bolt. If you cut it, it might be more difficult to get it back in.

oh believe me about 50% of the time I do things like this on my car. but I do learn something every time. By the way I was looking at my grey valance and it seems easy to take off. I think I might prime it and paint it black. You seem to think the paint will not last. Why?

Mostly because of where you're applying the paint, right in front near the ground. Rocks and debris gets kicked up into that area all the time. I'm not trying to stop you, just warning you of what could happen. Who knows, it might last a while. I would suggest a couple coats of adhesion promoter.

Should I apply the adhesive promoter before or after the primer or use it as the primer?

Adhesion promoter first, before anything else. When I did my rear vent caps i used adhesion promoter, then base and finally clear. I didn't even use primer and I went from black to pewter. Since you're going from gray to black I don't think you'll need primer.
