transmission compatibility

I know yall probably get this a lot but yr model transmission are compatible with my 03 yukon 2wd. I was told that it was only 01-04 2wd. But I can buy a fresh rebuilt 00 model for 175.00

I don't see why not. The 4L60e should work from about 96ish to 2005ish. What I would watch though, is the plug for the electronics. That could very well have changed over the years. I'd think it'd be easy to swap from your old transmission though.
