The photo looks like you replaced the OEM cooler rather than adding the Trucool 40 in series. Is that correct? Can you give me an idea of what temps you see in the summer, in traffic, not towing?
Yes I replaced the very small OEM cooler. I installed this because I do tow a camper on a regular basis and the OEM cooler just wasn't cutting it. However, there is a huge benefit on a day to day basis. For example today was around 95 and humid as hell. Without the new cooler I would average 170+ in traffic. Today the temp sat around 135 to 140. While towing I see even bigger improvements.

We will be taking our camper out tomorrow for much needed rest and relaxation. It has been miserable the last several weeks, temps in the mid 90s and real feal in excess of 108. Looking forward to seeing how this tru-cool transmission cooler performs in this kind of environment. I will keep all posted.
Trucool 40k. Keeps my trans temps under 150 even in triple digit weather
The folks over at PT have a nice install kit that includes brackets and a compression fitting to relocate the line. It's a ~15 minute install. Just bring a pipe cutter.
