Is there a tutorial or trick to removing the transmission cooling lines from the transmission? Seems pretty difficult and cramped to get up in there

Are you looking at you tube for the exact year? I would think that a 1995 or 1997 would be the same. What transmission do you have?

I cut the lines. You can always put them back together with compression fittings or rubber hose later.

Web site is working now. Here is the link. It is the only link for a 1996 K1500 with a 4L60E transmission but it says with auxillary cooler. Take a look and call them if needed:
