transmission filter help..

I have the tranny pan off and filter removed... but I can't seem to get the filter seal removed from the tranny... I am using a seal remover tool but to no avail... anybody have any tricks...

Get a flat screwdriver, and push in the side to bend the seal and pull it out with a pliers....it should come out easy..

That's what I was thinking... I was just worried about scoring the sidewall..

Then you may be in trouble!

Get a flathead with the dullest blade you can find and tap it on the lip and try and push it inward.

Or if it is still pliable and the filter fits tight don't change it.

Ohh I was just kidding.. I used to work on electronics when I was a government contractor ... this should be a breeze..
